1920’s children, listening to The Yarn.

After a bit of faffing about over cups of tea, The Yarn Storytellers are pleased to present their debut podcast, ‘The Unexpected Happened When?’

Featuring Yarn Live host Russ Pirie, theatrical guru John Bolton, the lovely Jacqui Gordon and the inimitable Mel Bergland, as they share their stories of the unexpected at a little Melbourne bookstore called The Book Grocer. With untold thanks to Cloud Unknowing and Anthony Winnick for audio assistance.

As we spin this out to the wider web, join us at your leisure here, and regards,

The Yarn podcast will be an hour-long wool-blend of the best that contemporary Australian storytelling has to offer.

Hosted through podbean and available soon through iTunes, its monthly release cycle will alternate between a distilled recording of our bi-monthly live events, and an assortment of contributed stories to be performed by the readers and actors of The Yarn community, with interviews and news on upcoming literary occasions. When the season allows, you can expect a weekly thread of short, snacky episodes – fifteen minute interludes, like mittens to the warm woolen jumper, of things that are just too good to go unheard.

It’ll be wordy, in the best possible way. It’ll be personal – you can take it with you wherever you go. And it’ll be free. Stay tuned…
